MDAP 2023 Collaborations EOIs open + register for an info session

We’re looking to help researchers explore innovative, tailored and/or end-to-end approaches to their data intensive or data informed research.

Collaborations can include data stewardship, wrangling, analysis, visualisation, access and much more. You may work in archeology, biosciences or economics. Your technical knowledge may be beginner, intermediate or advanced, and your idea may be challenging – but we want to hear from you.

EOIs close at 11.59pm on Friday 30 September 2022

About the EOI process

The EOI form is a short introduction to your proposed research project. It contains areas for your contact details and faculty, a short description of your project and intended outcomes/outputs, a couple of questions on the stage of your project and any other info you want to provide in support of your EOI.

When you submit an EOI, it will go through a triage process, primarily to review if we will be able to help, or if your project is better suited to another area at UoM. If a full Collaboration is not appropriate, this is a great way to get the conversation started. If your project is a good fit, we will move to a formal application – more details below.

Formal applications open 17 October and close 6 November. Decisions are expected mid-December, with Collaborations commencing in 2023.

More information

We encourage researchers from all faculties and schools to submit an EOI. We are also keen to chat to researchers that have work better suited to our short-term research or researcher-supported projects stream. If the collaboration EOI is not appropriate, this is a great way to get the conversation started.

Read the Faculty Supported Collaborations FAQ for info on selection criteria, eligibility, data and application questions.
